I saw negative reviews (different color) but I wanted give a try and ordered this red/black one.
the case is great fit and zipping around good. (sometimes it is not smooth zipping) but it's still zip and my kindle is secure!! I can use M-edge light on it and of. love the light weight of this case is the most!!

if you are looking for the case to be light weight and still protect your kindle and put in purse or something,
this is good case. I have other leather cases but this is the lightest and protected with zipper from dust etc..
It may not be as cool or elegant as some of the other Kindle covers available, but it is so practical and has everything I was looking for -- it is lightweight, it is attractive and well made, it protects, and it gives the experience of reading like a book. The small size 2nd generation Kindle fits perfectly, easily, and securely in the corner bands on the right side, but you can still easily turn it on and off and charge it without removing it (or easily remove it and replace it anytime you want to take it out to show someone what it looks like, etc.). Plus, it doesn't look like something to steal. It is nice looking, but doesn't scream "expensive electronic device inside."

After researching many of the Kindle jackets, I found this one to be the most useful, especially for travel. It zips around and keeps your Kindle secure and safe, there is an outside pocket which you can use for your cords and the e-luminator light fits in this case. This is perfect for traveling with your Kindle as it keeps everything in one place.

I own an M-Edge leather cover for my Kindle. It's a good cover, but over time I became a bit concerned about dust and dirt getting to my Kindle as I carried it around with me. I really began to think that a full zip around case would do a better job of protecting my precious baby. After comparing what was available on Amazon and reading the user feed back, I opted for this new Latitude case from M-Edge.

The case weighs nearly half as much as the leather cover. That is a noticeable difference for me, but it also gave me some pause about just how much protection it would actually provide. After a month of use, I find that my kindle is as well protected as I need it to be, and then some when I consider that it is now fully enclosed.

Another advantage of the full wrap-around zipper is that the case does not use the Amazon clip to secure the kindle in the case. Instead the kindle is held in place by four corner mounts. My Kindle has never come loose from these corner mounts when being carried in my purse or in a backpack. And with no side clip to fool with, the Kindle is easily removed from the case for standalone use if desired.

I have never had any trouble with the wrap around zipper itself. It is a little snug around the corners, but has never failed to navigate the turns with ease. And it has not torn with use.

The only negative with this case that I have observed is the fact that the picture shown on this page suggests that the power cord and AC adaptor will easily fit into the zippered pocket. It won't, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

I don't know why you would pay $10 more for the Patagonia. The M-Edge Latitude is way better. I bought the Latitude for my new kindle, and it is everything I had hoped for. The exterior is tough rip-stop nylon, with a pocket for the charger and light (it has the pocket for the M-edge light too)yet stylish and colorful. The interior is soft fleece, with a card shell to protect the Kindle. As soon as I got my kindle, I knew I had to get one for my husband too. We are off on a trip, so I had to ship his overnight. Alas, the Latitude takes a few days so I had to go with the Patagonia. It has just arrived, and I am so disappointed. The interior is scratchy nylon, and the stretchy pocket for the charger is inside where it can damage the screen. There is no card shell, and I will have to add a fleece to stop the screen from getting scratched. Bummer.
