When I am at home, I prefer to remove my Kindle from the case to read, but when I am out I leave the case on and I don't find it to be cumbersome and it offers privacy from those who like to read over your shoulder. Now I'm getting another one for a friend as a Christmas gift. I was a little concerned when I read reviews that said it can cause the Kindle to crack - that has not happened with mine, but I'm very careful to use the elastic holders on the edges, in addition to the hinges. <br /> <br />I did check with M-Edge to get their comments on the cracking / hinge issue before I ordered my second one.
