I just received the cover for my kindle DX. When I first looked at this, I know it’s not worth half of its price. How is Amazon so greedy to its kindle fans?

I found the Kindle DX too heavy and unwieldy. I was unable to get a signal to download books and did not like the overall concept of not being able to turn pages of a book, go back to another page without reading instructions first, etc. I returned the product.

I got the larger Kindle. Love it. My husband also reads it and really likes it. I also like the fact that my Grandchild got ahold of it without my knowledge and somehow ordered a book! I call right away and they gave me credit and took the book off. The big screen makes it easy to read and hold and being able to change the font for my husband is great. Just in case you can’t tell, I really like it and think the bigger one is the way to go.

The binder fit the Kindle DX very well and it was easy to insert the reader. It hasn’t been subject to much use yet, so it’s durability and ease of everyday use are not yet established, but I see no reason to doubt its benefits.

The cover was bought to go with a KindleDX that my son bought for my wife’s birthday. By the time my wife’s birthday rolled around and we figured out how to download without wireless, the 1 month return period had expired.
The problem is that Amazon sold the Kindle to my son using his US$ credit card issued by a non US Bank. As it turns out, Amazon will not sell Ebooks to someone using a non-US bank credit card. He should have been advised of this before he copmpleted the purchase, in which case he would not have bought the Kindle. Hence, we have a very expensive Kindle for which we cannot buy books. Because of Amazon’s lack of interest in helping us in this situation, I haven’t even opened the box in which the cover came in since I received it. The whole affair has damaged my respect for Amazon and leaves me with mixed feelings about purchasing from Amazon in the future.
