You are not buying a two year extended warranty but a one year extended warranty. Amazon's warranty on the Kindle is for one year and for 65 dollars you are extending it for an additional year. How can Amazon permit this purposely inaccurate ad to run?

Don't leave anything to chance. You paid enough for your Kindle so why not provide the extra security to go with it. $65 is a good price when you consider that they will replace it with an actual Kindle. I did my research and you shouldn't be fooled by price. I beleive that you get what you pay for and cheaper isn't better.

Have I mentioned I kill computers? Don't know how, why or when I offended the computer gods, but I can tell you for a fact, they don't like me. I, for one, will get my money's worth out of this deal, so for me, this is a no-brainer. You, on the other hand, have to ask yourself, have you had bad experiences with computer driven devices? Here's the simple math; if more than about 1 of 4 computer driven devices you've owned, have physically failed (not including needing a SW update, because, I believe, Kindle can do that) within the first two years of your owning it, then go for it. If not, skip it.

Just to state my creds on this, I stopped counting confirmed HW failures back in 94, after 50 confirmed failures. I've killed microwaves, automobiles (my own, rentals, leased, and I don't borrow cars from friends), desktops, laptops, mainframes, cameras, phones, GPSs, PDAs, Macs and PCs alike. I'm careful, but indiscriminate. People laugh when I say so, but after they've known me for a while, they don't let me go near anything they own with a computer in it. Right now, my car is in the shop, getting a new computer for the transmission! Go figure.

This is completely absurd Amazon! Why would you sell an extended warranty for the International version of the Kindle if it only applies to US customers? It's ridiculous.

Please make it extensive to international customers of the Kindle or don't sell it at all!

This is really odd!
You are shipping Kindle internationally now. But the extented warranty for the international device is only avaible to people who stays in US? How absurd is that?
Or is it because the same Kindle device will magically become much more reliable when it works outside of US?
I don't know what to say...
